Soya Bar's Taho

Welcome to my blog! ^_^

This is my first blog entry and to tell you guys I don't know if I'm doing this the right way but I will try my best.

One hot afternoon my sister and I went to the mall near our home, we do it often especially when we get bored at home. We’ve been walking for hours checking some clothes, shoes and other stuffs. After hours of walking we felt that we need to take a break and look for some place to stay and rest for a while then we saw this green themed stall, "Soya Bar". Since that's the first time we saw that snack bar we decided to try some of their products and ordered taho but we chose the "Chilled Taho" over the "Hot Taho" since it is very hot on that particular day.

Taho is a snack food in the Philippines made of fresh soft/silken tofu matched with arnibal (made of brown sugar and vanilla syrup), and sago which is also called as pearl tapioca. We also grab some "Soy Bubble Milk Tea".

Nowadays people start to think healthy, I guess that's the reason why new establishments with the healthy theme got people's attention. As I have said a while ago "Taho" is made of soft/silken tofu and tofu comes from "soya beans".

Let's count the benefit's we can get in consuming products from soya beans. According to experts soy proteins and isoflavone present in soya bean helps in maintaining good health.

1. Soy can help prevent Osteoporosis (makes your bones weak and more likely to break).

2. Soy can help prevent heart disease (it helps by reducing total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and preventing plaque buildup in the arteries, which could lead to stroke or heart attack).

3. High protein content of Soy can improve athletic performance (Soy can give energy has high protein content which can be converted to calories. With its high protein content it can build and keep up lean body mass.

4. Soy has been shown to help those with, and prevent, Type 2 Diabetes.

5. Soy can help prevent Cancer of the Breast, Colon, Uterus and Prostate.

6. Soy helps in weight loss. (Whoa! I think I need to consume more Soy! *wink*).

7. It maintains normal premenstrual syndrome and menstrual health. (According to experts Asian women suffer less from hot flashes and night sweats than Western women. According to them most symptoms of menopause are caused by low estrogen levels which play a role in the body temperature control.

And the list goes on. For more information on the health benefits we can get in consuming Soy you can find lots of info's from the net.

Good thing the quality of their products made our experience pleasant and we will definitely go back. Aside from "Taho" and "Soy Bubble Milk Tea", Soya Bar offers a healthy variety of food selections such as sandwiches, pasta, quesadillas, soya frost and more! You will surely enjoy the foods served at Soya Bar. Next time I'm going to try their Quesadillas and Pasta. :)
